I have been supporting Mac OS X since 2003, when Apple G4 PowerMacs were first bought by the Arts & IT Faculty at Bathurst TAFE. I was chosen because of my experience with Linux because “OS X is based on Unix now”. I eventually did some official training for OS X 10.4 Tiger Server and Workstation.

I have been offering support for people throughout the Bathurst District for the last four years because most of the support is from the Apple Authorised Hardware repairer who only handle hardware problems.

Many ISPs offer no support for Apple users with helpdesk staff just stating, “Our system doesn’t work with Macs”. This is usually wrong, you just need to know how to configure the settings manually and not rely on a Windows setup CD.
